Happy Spirit Filling Day

🔥 Happy Shavuot! 🔥 On the day of Shavuot/Pentecost, (50 days after Passover,) Jesus’ disciples were gathered together in one accord, one mind, one passion. (On the Jewish calendar, this was this past Friday. As Christians we celebrate it on the Lord’s Day (1st day of the week.) On this feast day celebrating God giving His Law/Torah to Moses, He sent His Spirit to fill and indwell the men and women who followed Him, His disciples. He came to write His law on their/our hearts, not just on tablets of stone. To empower them/us to share God’s Word, His life… Continue reading

Our God is for Us

“What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?” ‭‭Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭31‬-‭32‬ This verse is solid truth we can hang our hopes on. But it doesn’t always feel that way. We face a lot of things in life that are scary. Those of us who have lived in DV know very well the feeling of being alone and that everyone and everything is against us…. Continue reading

Called to Comfort

Called to Comfort—Decades ago, 2 Corinthians 1:4 became a mission verse for me in mentoring and coaching others. Throughout my life as I’ve gone through hard things, God has sent others to me that needed comfort, hope, wise counsel from His unchanging Word. This mixed media Faith Art journal page illustrates that. Continue reading

Send Me {video}

Isaiah 6:8 has been on my heart this past week or so. I’ve spent nearly my entire adult life in Christian ministry. But betrayal trauma nearly silenced my voice, and the years of healing from it practically put a pause in my outreach ministry. Although my personal relationship with God didn’t waiver, the level of my bold outward witness no doubt lessened. “Here am I, Lord. Send me.” “Here am I, YHWH. Send me.” Isaiah 6:8 I’ve been playing catch up back at home this week, after being gone to Convention all the last week. Still continuing to create a… Continue reading

Light Overcomes

Last night, my heart was heavy. I knew I needed some creative meditative time. The feeling of “Play” wasn’t there. The “Pray” was heavily dominant in my Pray & Play time. I felt like collaging. Just gluing all the torn pieces together—into a heart of love. The scripture above came immediately to my mind. The quote above came across my feed. But as I dumped my envelope of book and music pages collage fodder on my desk, this verse was at the top of a scrap, on the top of my pile. ❤️ The light shines in the darkness, and… Continue reading

Psalm 26:11 {Bible Art Tutorial}

The Psalms were my manna as I was going through The Valley of the Shadow of Death, after discovering x’s adultery and waking up to the destructiveness of the entire marriage, and necessity of me getting a life-saving divorce. This post is a Throwback Thursday for a Bible Art Tutorial on Psalm 26:11, from October 29, 2022. I posted the video of this Tutorial on YouTube back then, but never got this web post finished and posted. (Which happens more often than you’d think.) 😊 When I Bible Art Journaled this verse, made and posted the video—and started this post,… Continue reading
