God, Our Provider

One certainly doesn’t need to be in this same situation to have concerns about finances and provision. This struggle began at the fall of mankind, and continues for most people over time and place. But for the women I work with, Christian women who are primarily lifelong stay-at-home-moms, going through lifesaving divorces and healing from abuse—usually including financial abuse, that concern, even fear, for financial provision is strong. Who do you say that I Am? Jesus asks this question (in Matthew 16:15) of His followers. As His followers also, we must answer Who we say He is. God, the Trinity, reveals Who He is by many names—and also many metaphors— throughout His Word. In this vast universe God has created, I am less than a speck. This neurographic drawing has been sitting on my desk for a week or so. Although I’ve been doing other FaithArt journaling pretty consistently this summer, that evening I just wasn’t drawn to my mixed media projects in process. 🔥 Happy Shavuot! 🔥 On the day of Shavuot/Pentecost, (50 days after Passover,) Jesus’ disciples were gathered together in one accord, one mind, one passion. (On the Jewish calendar, this was this past Friday. As Christians we celebrate it on the Lord’s Day (1st day of the week.)
