Imagine

Imagine sitting down for your quiet time and feeling excited instead of wondering where to start. Imagine having a few different ideas in your back pocket for days when you feel distracted, stuck, overwhelmed, or just need something a little different. That’s what I love about the Faith Journaling Collective Workshop from Faith Bundles. Twenty women—including me!—. are sharing different ways they process Scripture and connect with God, and I have a feeling you’ll walk away with ideas you can continue using long after the workshop ends. Sometimes all we need is a little fresh perspective. You can join free… Continue reading

Love & Worship God

Have you ever had a Bible verse that you know well—you’ve memorized it, meditated on it for decades, and then a word changes in your mind? Love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ This is the first commandment. Deut. 6:5, Matt. 22:37, Mark 12:30, Luke 10:27 I know this verse inside out. It is a key verse for my life. I taught it to all my children. Yet, as I meditated on it to make this Faith+Art journal page, my mind kept saying worship, not love. In fact, I… Continue reading

A New Name

My mind is still meditating on and expanding my study on names, (based on my previous Bible Journaling page for the Great Shepherd & His sheep.) Thinking about how God calls me by name. How I know and hear His voice and follow it. To go a step deeper, to the name He gives me. John tells us, in Revelation 2:17, that overcomers in Christ have a new name, given by God. “To the one who conquers, I will give … a white stone, and on the stone a new name is inscribed that no one knows except the one… Continue reading

Journaling Retreat

I open up many of my journal pages to you, to come alongside you as a helper of your joy. Showing you that imperfect art is worthwhile to create, and should bring no shame—only joy and healing in the moment and making. And to bring you confidence that you too can do this. You were created to create! I’d love to help you learn how. Continue reading

Happy NYE!

Happy New Year’s Eve!What was your favorite thing you created in 2025? Here are 12 of my favorite mixed media Faith+Art makes of 2025.It was hard to narrow them down, they all brought me such Joy in the making. Although I repeat like a broken record, “transformational art making is more about the beauty created in you than on the canvas/page,” it’s still nice when we have finished art projects that we love. Up first is a journal page I’ve never shown here before. It’s from my course, He Restores My Soul—a transformative Faith+Art journey through Psalm 23. I love… Continue reading

Seasons—A Look Back

Creativity for many of us can look a bit different in December. We maybe focused on making Christmas cards, or gifts, or baking, or decorating, or… for me, many additional music performances. I’m sure you have plenty of added activities and events, too. Busy holiday times can change our availability, our creative schedule or style, and even our mojo and inspiration. These times may not be as soul-restoring as our usual creativity time—especially if we’re rushing to get things done, and fit them into an already extra busy schedule. But I find that staying creative, even in different ways, helps… Continue reading

Send Me {video}

Isaiah 6:8 has been on my heart this past week or so. I’ve spent nearly my entire adult life in Christian ministry. But betrayal trauma nearly silenced my voice, and the years of healing from it practically put a pause in my outreach ministry. Although my personal relationship with God didn’t waiver, the level of my bold outward witness no doubt lessened. “Here am I, Lord. Send me.” “Here am I, YHWH. Send me.” Isaiah 6:8 I’ve been playing catch up back at home this week, after being gone to Convention all the last week. Still continuing to create a… Continue reading

Pray & Play {video}

New video up. Pray & Play*, Restorative/healing creativity. Faith+Art Video ⬇️ I already posted a written article on this, a couple weeks ago. I finally got the video edited, if you prefer to watch. If my content is helpful, please consider Subscribing to my YouTube channel, as well as here. Thanks. 👩🏻‍🎨

Restorative Creativity

Some Pray & Play* time. Creativity based on just being present in the moment. Having no agenda or direction. No goal to “finish it.” Not even “practicing” a specific thing. Just Creative Freedom—for Restoration! Continue reading

Light Overcomes

Last night, my heart was heavy. I knew I needed some creative meditative time. The feeling of “Play” wasn’t there. The “Pray” was heavily dominant in my Pray & Play time. I felt like collaging. Just gluing all the torn pieces together—into a heart of love. The scripture above came immediately to my mind. The quote above came across my feed. But as I dumped my envelope of book and music pages collage fodder on my desk, this verse was at the top of a scrap, on the top of my pile. ❤️ The light shines in the darkness, and… Continue reading
