Daily Word – Sword

We often hear that going to church doesn’t make you a Christian. True. But even deeper, knowing God’s Word doesn’t make you one either. Quoting it, swinging it around, doesn’t mean one is right with God. Many hear. Many even sit under the true gospel being preached, perhaps for decades. But, the Word doesn’t profit them; it doesn’t change them. Because there is not humble faith. Rather they are proud hardened hearts.

Yet all is known to the Omniscient God. He not only sees their deeds, but also knows their thoughts and attitudes. Knows their hearts. And they will give account. The Word itself will witness against them, slicing through their hypocrisy.

Dear Christian, if the [S]Word has been slung around to harm you, by one who does not have true faith, but rather is a hypocrite that does not have faith and a true heart for God, God sees. He knows their heart, regardless of their deceptive actions and words. They will give account. And He will say, “Depart from Me. I never knew you.” Their hypocrisy is known. As for you, true believer, come boldly to the throne of grace, and obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

“For indeed the gospel was preached to us as well as to them; but the word which they heard did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in those who heard it. …

“Today, if you will hear His voice, Do not harden your hearts.”… there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account. …

Hebrews 4:12

Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭4:2, 7, 13, 16‬

Amen & Amen!
