New Creation—Meditation & Tutorial

What do you believe about yourself? If you are a follower of Jesus, spiritually reborn, He has much to say about who you are. You are a New Creation—in Him.

Start the New Year off with a positive and healing step, through this Mixed Media Meditation* on who you are in Jesus the Christ. This video will lead you in a healing devotional and therapeutic mixed media art process that will help you see yourself as God sees you, when you are in Christ, and shed those false beliefs you have of yourself.

Supplies:

• Paper, Pencil, Marker, Glue.
  • Mixed Media paper, Sharpie marker, Scotch Craft Permanent Glue Stick, Distress Collage Medium.

• —The rest will be decided as part of the process, after the devotional.

• Coloring mediums (and any applicator needed)—spray inks, ink pads and blending or smooshing tool, acrylic paints, watercolors, or other.
  • I used Distress Spray Inks: Squeezed Lemonade, Carved Pumpkin, Crackling Campfire, & Abandoned Coral. Distress spray water bottle, heat gun.

• Focal point image, accents—from magazine, calendar, downloaded from online and printed, stamped, die cuts traced, or handrawn. I used die cuts.
  • Heartbeat die from Tim Holtz, Hearts die from SIZZIX. Textured cardstock by Coordinations.

• Focus Word—any of the same options as Focal point image. Or handwrite, type on computer and printed out, or use label maker.
  • I used my Cricut.

• Optional: Stencil, and Texture Paste and palette knife or acrylic craft Paint and applicator. I used Bricked stencil from Tim Holtz and (regular) Texture Paste from Ranger.
