Psalm 26:11 {Bible Art Tutorial}

The Psalms were my manna as I was going through The Valley of the Shadow of Death, after discovering x’s adultery and waking up to the destructiveness of the entire marriage, and necessity of me getting a life-saving divorce.

This post is a Throwback Thursday for a Bible Art Tutorial on Psalm 26:11, from October 29, 2022. I posted the video of this Tutorial on YouTube back then, but never got this web post finished and posted. (Which happens more often than you’d think.) 😊

When I Bible Art Journaled this verse, made and posted the video—and started this post, I was thinking back to that time when I was literally living in the Psalms, crying out to God as I struggled against evil. Trusting Him when my circumstances indicated that evil was winning. But I knew it was not. I knew that I would continue to walk in my integrity, and God would continue to work it all for good—in His timing and His way, and He would continue to take care of me, redeem me and be merciful to me.

“Vindicate me, O Lord, for I have walked in my integrity. I have also trusted in the Lord; I shall not slip. Examine me, O Lord, and prove me; try my mind and my heart. For Your lovingkindness is before my eyes, and I have walked in Your truth. I have not sat with idolatrous mortals, nor will I go in with hypocrites. I have hated the assembly of evildoers, and will not sit with the wicked. I will wash my hands in innocence; so I will go about Your altar, O Lord, that I may proclaim with the voice of thanksgiving, and tell of all Your wondrous works. Lord, I have loved the habitation of Your house, and the place where Your glory dwells. Do not gather my soul with sinners, nor my life with bloodthirsty men, in whose hands is a sinister scheme, and whose right hand is full of bribes. But as for me, I will walk in my integrity; redeem me and be merciful to me. My foot stands in an even place; in the congregations I will bless the Lord.”‬‬

‭‭~ Psalms‬ ‭26:1-12‬ ‭NKJV

I did the Art Journaling of this verse both in my Bible and on a Faith Dex card. The beginning of this make is a collaged napkin. I also used inking, stamping, a doily, labels/snippet pieces, fabric, and a piece from a dictionary.

The complete Supply List and full Tutorial for both makes are in the video below.
