Yesterday was my annual “Me & Jesus” Day. While everyone is celebrating the hustle bustle of “Christmas,” (most with no Christ acknowledged or included,) my hustle bustle, family celebration of Emmanuel, God with us in the human form of Y’shua, the babe born in Bethlehem, was completed the night before.
Christmas Day has been, for almost a decade, a day when I’m alone, (as my children continued their dad’s side’s traditions, initially all day by court order.) That, of course, has brought grief, but also I chose to rewire my thoughts and redeem the day. With everyone off doing their own thing, it’s left me a day to just “be still and know He is God.”
I rock and reflect. I enjoy my tea and a latte. I sit at my piano and play carols, rejoicing in my Savior. I eat leftovers from the night before—and usually, way too many sugary treats. I miss being surrounded by family on Christmas Day. But I don’t miss the stress x brought. I love my Me & Jesus Day! and spending the day truly focused on the Reason for the season.

I pray you had a meaningful Christmas, reflecting on Y’shua/Jesus and the reason He came. To heal broken hearts, set free the captives, crush the head of Satan, and to conquer the power of sin in those who bow their hearts to Him and follow and serve Him. He came that we could have Faith, Hope, and Love!
May you have His Peace and Joy in your heart, regardless of your current circumstances, knowing He is greater than all this world can throw at us. He’s with us through the sunshine and the storms, the good and the bad. And I’m here to walk alongside you on your journey. ❤️
