Creating took a hiatus for the majority of this month when first I was gone for a week for a Retreat (where I only took yarn and needles with me, for super portable creativity,) and then I fell on ice in the mountains, thankfully just before I came home.
Bilateral injuries to my wrists, hands, and arms prevented doing much of anything, let alone crafting. Thankfully, I finger pecked to get my ThanksGiving daily posts done, on Facebook. Check those out!
And Thankfully, again so much to be Thankful for!, now 2 weeks more past, I was able to catch up on making Birthday Cards. Even though my wrists and hands paid for it.
Both cards are floral, and for ladies’ birthdays, and used some similar supply types and techniques. But they are both very different in look.
Blue card:
Tim Holtz Chipped Sapphire Distress Oxide Spray—mat and die cuts.
Tim Holtz Tumbled Glass Distress Ink Spray—background.
Tim Holtz Quilted embossing folder.
Sweet ‘n Sassy (Creative Worship) Script stencil with Chipped Sapphire Oxide Ink blending.
Tim Holtz Wildflower Stems #1 dies.
Happy Birthday (from Stampabilities/Hobby Lobby) stamped with Tim Holtz Prize Ribbon Archival ink.
Pink card:
Tim Holtz Mixed Media Stamp and Stencil Set #114
w/ Dotted stencil blended with Distress Inks: Spun Sugar, Tumbled Glass, and Shabby Shutters, and edged with Picked Raspberry.
Flowers and Leaves from the set, and Happy Birthday sentiment (from Bo Bunny: Sentiments) stamped
w/Black Soot Archival, and flowers and leaves colored with
Tim Holtz Watercolor Pencils: Peeled Paint, Forest Moss, and Picked Raspberry, and fussy cut out.
