After posting my first art journal page of the year, I stepped into something that’s usually not my style, as a challenge. You know. Sometimes you just have to step out of your wheelhouse and do something different.
This one was a several sessions Collage class, with Cat Rains. I didn’t have time to prepare my papers, to the extent suggested. That was supposed to happen in Dec, when I was up to my eyeballs in other projects. So I just slapped some paint down in the basic gist of the class requirements. Each project had specific guidelines to follow. 4 more projects were to build from the guidelines of this one, adding more steps for each project. I’ll do the rest in the future—after I can get the right collage fodder made.
It was fun to dip into something different for a while. But, necessities and my creative style were calling, so for now I’m back to my usuals, needed birthday cards, and my mixed media Faith+Art journaling. They’ll be coming up next.
