Day 5

Day Five—of 100 Days of Creativity, (my makes for #The100DayProject.)  Today’s #LayerADay proves my point that creativity can fit into very busy lives. Everyone can find time to be creative. The 100 Day Project is about keeping it short daily, so you can be consistent. This layer couldn’t have taken less time. Not even the recommended no more than 5-10 minutes. Literally just one. But even something so small can pack a powerful punch.

After yesterday’s stamping, I questioned if I was done with my background for this art journal page. I decided No, it needs a bit of sparkle!

You know how we creatives talk about needing to dig into our stash, and use “forgotten friends”, products we haven’t used for a long time? I dug back years for this one. Glimmer Spray got pulled out, and it was a great choice. I tried to photograph the best angle I could to show it, but the picture doesn’t begin to reveal how much beauty the glimmer added.

*It would have been about 15 seconds if I haven’t hit it with my heat tool for about a minutes, to keep the inks from running.

What did you create today? Have you been using any “forgotten friends” craft supplies? Share it in our Creative Community group.
