Daily Word – His Plans

Does your life look like what you planned? Perhaps you planned to have 3 kids. But only 1 came along. Perhaps you planned to be married for life. But you’re divorced after decades of trying. Perhaps you planned to be retired by now. Or married by now. Perhaps you planned to be president of your own company. Do you see loss? Or gain? Do you trust the Lord’s direction? Or do you become bitter that your own agenda isn’t going how you planned? Do you trust His timing? That perhaps the plans weren’t way off base, but just not yet?… Continue reading

Creative Play

This past weekend, my kids were all busy elsewhere and I was looking forward to some Creative Play time. I have some projects I’m wanting to work on, but I really just felt like playing. No end envisioned. No completed projects to figure out. No real thinking. Just play! Making it a perfect time to work on backgrounds! It’s been a while since I’ve pulled out my Dylusions acrylic paints. I love them, but my go-to is usually ink pads, rather than paints. So, out came the acrylic paints.Paper towels/ dried out baby wipes, rewetted.Mixed Media cardstock.A few stencils. I’ve decided to start sharing my daily passage from God’s Word here (as well as on social media,) in addition to my regular posts here. Even though I don’t always share any commentary or thoughts with them. Even though I may not do it everyday. I hope you find them an encouragement!–and the other freelywhole.com posts too. And I hope that you’ll subscribe (in the sidebar) on freelywhole.com Why posting these here also? And what you can do to help–you and me. 1) Too many friends have lost their social media accounts, due to hacking or lock-outs. Many of them… Continue reading

Shalom

While I was convalescing last month, I had plenty of time to think of direction, focus, goals. I’d already made some decisions that would make a change going forward. I thought that specific path of change would begin in January, but found that it needed to be postponed for a little longer this year, leaving me in a gap. I’m a recovering overachiever, overthinker, overfunctioner. Having a gap, while looking to move forward, doesn’t sit well on my soul. “God, what do you want me to do in this “gap?” I have goals. I want to move forward with this…. Continue reading
