God Our Healer

YHWH Rapha There are so many ways we experience God as healer. YHWH Rapha has shown himself mighty in my life in so many ways. For my son who was on death’s door twice, when a baby/toddler, with a horrible prognosis, but now is 32 years old and healthy. Even when my baby daughter died 36 years ago, God granted me peace beyond understanding. For me personally, in healing betrayal (adultery) and psychological abuse-caused Complex PTS, the deepest wounds of the heart. Emmanuel, God with us. Behold, the tabernacle of God is with humanity, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. What comes to your mind when you think about a father? Perhaps good but imperfect. Perhaps bad. If your earthly father, (or your children’s dad, or any other,) was loving, kind and good, it may have been easier for for you to see God’s love, care, and provision. If your model of father was negligent, abusive, or just pure evil, perhaps it was hard for you to trust God to be a kind, loving, caring, providing, good Abba. But Abba is not an earthly father. God, Our Provider

One certainly doesn’t need to be in this same situation to have concerns about finances and provision. This struggle began at the fall of mankind, and continues for most people over time and place. But for the women I work with, Christian women who are primarily lifelong stay-at-home-moms, going through lifesaving divorces and healing from abuse—usually including financial abuse, that concern, even fear, for financial provision is strong. Do you have the same problem that I often do? (Thankfully, this isn’t that—artistically anyhow. But read on.) Problem. The idea in your head doesn’t transfer into your journal, like you want.
