Day 3

Day Three—of 100 Days of Creativity, (my makes for #The100DayProject.)  Today’s creativity was more stenciling, adding another layer to my background. This Flourish stenciled in white paint brightened up some areas. Just a few minutes a day makes a real difference—in your creativity and your life. What did you make today? Share it in our Creative Community group.

Day Two

Day Two—of 100 Days of Creativity, (my makes for #The100DayProject.)  Today’s creative work was a little more involved than just cutting a die cut. But it was still a simple layer that took just a few minutes. This colorful Distress Oxide Ink background was blended through a stencil. What did you make today? Share it in our Creative Community group.

Day One

Day One—of 100 Days of Creativity, (my makes for #The100DayProject.) Yes! It really can be this simple. Keep it simple. Just start. Make something. Anything. Doing something creative can be as simple as cutting out a focal image. This “Perspective” butterfly was die cut from black card stock. It will be the focal point on a faith art journal page that I’ll be making. What did you make today? Share it in our Creative Community group.

100 Day Journey of Creativity

My 100 Day Journey of Creativity is my take on #the100dayproject (that starts today). No rules. Nothing to join. The only “requirement” (in my view) is that you want to use the gift of creativity that your Creator has placed in YOU— in whatever way you choose, for just a few minutes everyday. This is all about growing the creative seed placed in you when God created you. I fully believe, if you follow your journey of creating, for just a few minutes everyday, for 100 days, you will experience transforming growth in not just your creativity, but also in your soul and life! Because you were created to create! 💖 Continue reading

VDay or DDay?

Valentine’s Day seems to be not just a love holiday, but also one hated my many. For the haters it may be D(itch the) Day. Whether it’s because one doesn’t have a romantic loved one, or has been left and hurt by someone who was supposed to love them, or because they think it’s just commercialism, pushing for purchases of flowers, chocolate, jewelry and dinner out. It may be the disappointment in not receiving things like that, not feeling loved. It may be feeling pressured to give specific things on a specific day, and think everyday should be love day,… Continue reading

Last & First

🥳 Happy New Year! 🥳 The last shall be first. Meaning, my last make of 2025 also became my first make of 2026. I had decided the theme for my NYE art project a week ago, choosing Comfort & Joy. I even designed a couple images for my focal point. But when I sat down last night to create, it just wasn’t coming. So I started with some neurographic drawing, which is always a good art (and brain) exercise when you’re not sure what direction you want to go. But it wasn’t what I had envisioned! After rounding and coloring,… Continue reading

Happy NYE!

Happy New Year’s Eve!What was your favorite thing you created in 2025? Here are 12 of my favorite mixed media Faith+Art makes of 2025.It was hard to narrow them down, they all brought me such Joy in the making. Although I repeat like a broken record, “transformational art making is more about the beauty created in you than on the canvas/page,” it’s still nice when we have finished art projects that we love. Up first is a journal page I’ve never shown here before. It’s from my course, He Restores My Soul—a transformative Faith+Art journey through Psalm 23. I love… Continue reading

Seasons—Looking Ahead

If you’ve read my last 2 posts, you know that as I transition from the busy holidays into a New Year, I take a week for Reflection. Looking back and Looking forward. I know very little about what the New Year will throw my way, but I focus on what I desire to create more of in my life—as well as look at what I want less of, (and how much of it is in my ability to get rid of.) Life will throw us enough curve balls that there is nothing we can do about. But we can do… Continue reading

ThanksGiving

🧡 Happy ThanksGiving! 🧡 Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. It’s one that is overlooked by way too many. But it is so important. Its true history has been lost by many, and been politicized by many more. It’s been chided by those who think they have nothing to be grateful for, if they are suffering loss or grieving, or everything in life isn’t perfect and full. They forget or never learned that the beginnings of this day set aside as a holiday reflects back to families who had lost half of their members due to starvation in the previous year,… Continue reading

Called to Comfort

Called to Comfort—Decades ago, 2 Corinthians 1:4 became a mission verse for me in mentoring and coaching others. Throughout my life as I’ve gone through hard things, God has sent others to me that needed comfort, hope, wise counsel from His unchanging Word. This mixed media Faith Art journal page illustrates that. Continue reading
