Where Faith, Neuroscience, & Creativity Meet

This neurographic drawing has been sitting on my desk for a week or so. Although I’ve been doing other FaithArt journaling pretty consistently this summer, that evening I just wasn’t drawn to my mixed media projects in process. There were no heavy feelings, or issues to work through. Just a heart that needed something different.

So I picked up paper and pen and began drawing neurolines and rounding intersections, while meditating on God’s Word and worshipping Him.

I hadn’t done any neurographic drawing in several weeks, not since at the CTPM Retreat in May. But that’s what I was being drawn to do. Giving some focus to something different, and working on some general brain healing. Creating new pathways. New connections. Greater focus. Greater strength.

This is my desire
To honor You
Lord with all my heart
I worship You
All I have within me
I give You praise
All that I adore is in You

I started with drawing a heart, as a container of all my thoughts and emotions. I was meditating on the worship song, “Lord I give you my heart, I give you my soul. I live for you alone.” The neurolines came, new insights, connections. Rounding out the intersections, resolving conflict or dissettlement, disharmony. The circle of safeness showed itself, peace, where I abide with God and He abides with me. Some of the lines extended out beyond me, to reach out to others.

One thing I have desired of the LORD, that will I seek: That I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD,

Psalm 27:4

Renew Your Mind, Restore Your Soul, Rewire Your Brain

Next month, I will be reintroducing my neurographic drawing class online. It’s matured so much since my introduction to it, years ago. Don’t miss it!

In this class, you’ll draw closer to Jesus in your healing and growth, through creativity and neuroscience.

As we meditate on God’s Word, you’ll learn the brain rewiring steps of Neurographic Drawing, and put it into practice. This Faith+Art + Neuroscience practice activates neurons and creates new neural connections, bringing healing to the brain, and resetting the nervous system.

It requires no art skills or special tools. Get started with just paper and pencil/pen/marker.

Neuroplasticity is an amazing thing. God created our brains to heal. And He wants to bring beauty from ashes—inside us.
