Bible Journaling—Numbers 6

May God Bless you… and give you Peace! Amen!

Saint Patrick’s Day seemed like a good time to do some mixed media journaling in Numbers 6. And I had to, of course, include a four-leaf clover. 🍀

Numbers 6:24-26 is known as
“The Priestly Prayer”

“The Lord bless you and keep you;
The Lord make His face shine upon you, And be gracious to you;
The Lord lift up His countenance upon you, And give you peace.”

This make started with Tea dyed paper from my stash. I added some ink smooshing with Vintage Photo Distress Spray and edging with Brushed Corduroy and Crackling Campfire Distress Inks, to give it more depth. The divider line is Crackling Campfire Distress Watercolor Pencil.

The verse stamp is Shine on You from Stampendous, stamped with Rustic Wilderness Archival Ink. The word “bless” in the verse is covered with a torn scrap of paper painted, stamped with a larger “bless”, and edged. For it and the word “Peace”, the background is painted with Rustic Wilderness Distress Watercolor Pencil, edged with Rustic Wilderness Distress Ink, and stamped with Crackling Campfire Archival Ink. “Bless” stamp is from a Hobby Lobby set. “Peace” stamp is from Recollections Peace.

Remaining words, stamped with Rustic Wilderness Archival Ink, are: “&” from Bo Bunny Friendly Greetings, “give” from Recollections Wordfetti, “you” from Hobby Lobby Everyday Expressions.

The focal point, 4-leaf clover, is “Lucky Love” Tim Holtz Impresslit (embossing die), cut from Bristol Smooth cardstock that had been spray and smoosh colored with Mowed Lawn, Cracked Pistachio, and Rustic Wilderness Distress Sprays and Spray Oxide, and outlined with Rustic Wilderness Distress Watercolor Pencil. The Bible verse itself is also highlighted with this Watercolor Pencil. All items are adhered with Distress Collage Medium, and the Tiny Attacher stapler.

The finishing touches are a page tab made from a scrap of fabric, and the date stamped with Heidi Swapp Date Stamp in Crackling Campfire Archival Ink.

I hope you are inspired to go create something you love—it doesn’t have to follow this theme or verse. And create a life you love!
