I’m continuing to work on Faith Dex Cards, for my Layer A Day, when I don’t have time to work on a larger project. Just 1-5 minutes a day. Just one layer. No concern as to whether there is a direction it’s heading or not. Up today is my third Faith Dex card for this year.
I love the depth and texture on this card! And just enough of a rustic, primitive feel to satisfy my soul.

Layer 1: This creation started with collaging pieces of a hymn, that had been edged with Ground Espresso Distress Watercolor Pencil, onto the Dex Card base. Cutting out. Then edging the card itself with the WC Pencil.
Layer 2: Flourish stenciling with Lumberjack Plaid Distress Ink.
Layer 3: Cut heart from peeled corrugated cardboard, and paint with Lumberjack Plaid Distress Paint. Edge with the Ground Espresso WC Pencil.
Layer 4: Paint 3 heart buttons with the same paint.
Layer 5: Wrap heart with jute and tie bow, and secure all with adhesive.
Layer 6: Print Heart & Soul label. Add to a scrap of burlap.
Layer 7: Glue all components onto the Dex Card.
