Tag Pocket w/Hidden Journal

This little fold up pocket houses 2 tags in pockets, and hidden journaling paper. You can use it as a stand alone or add it to a journal page. Glue it to the page, tuck it in a pocket, or glue it down on only 2 or 3 sides to make an additional pocket or tuck spot. Three paper scrap strips and some embellishments are all it takes to make this easy fold up. Colorful Pinwheel Card

I saw a card made from a flat pinwheel die the other day and remembered how I used to make real paper pinwheels with my kids. Gel Printing with Embossing Folders

After I had some non-thinking Fun Play yesterday, my mind turned back on and I moved forward to the next step, and the key to getting prints I really like, that would be usable for pockets and other “pretty page” items. (Of course the others will still be used, for collaging and such.) The obvious answer needed is adding Gesso to the page, to knock the words back a bit, before Gel Printing. Cards from Printables

It’s rare that I make cards with print-outs. I’ve got too big of a stash of patterned papers; and I love inking, stenciling, stamping and die-cutting. But occasionally I have a design in mind and printables are the perfect option. It’s still a satisfying creative endeavor, but usually quite simple to actually make. Find, size and print the images. I’m still working on pockets (in between other creative projects). I’ve had so much fun with these Woven Tag Pockets; I’ve made many! They are quick and easy, and require very few supplies. But they’re also unique and just plain cute! You can make them in any style you like.
